Oklahoma Tornadoes

If you live in the US you’re aware of the tragedy that hit my home town a few days ago. I spent the first few hours after the storm moving rubble and looking for people lost in the debris. It was a horrific scene standing on a pile of rocks that once used to be a beautiful home and looking over the landscape of what was a growing town and neighborhood turned into a crumbling war zone. It is something I will remember for the rest of my life and I am so thankful that those I love are safe and well.

Please take some time today to give your support and aid to the relief effort (Links are below). Think about those who have lost loved ones and those who have lost all their possessions. Please pray for the victims and their families during this horrible tragedy. Be watchful for opportunities and ways that you can help those in need during this time.

Thank you,
~John

Oklahoma City bombing

Today marks the 18th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing, the most destructive act of terrorism on American soil until the September 11, 2001 attacks. The Oklahoma City bombing claimed the lives of 168, including 19 children, and injured more than 680 people. Please take a moment of silence for personal contemplation, prayer, reflection, or meditation out of respect for those we’ve lost and loved. They will never be forgotten.
